Learn, practice and gain experience with our friendly monthly club.
How does the club work?
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month at Darwin Innovation hub from 5.30 pm
Club dues are $20 per session which includes participation, tea, coffee, water and light refreshments
Each meeting follows the Speakstarter Confidence Framework so you can get a bit better every month
Book your attendance online and use it as a business tax deduction for training. Your accountant will love you!
Check-In
Everyone gives a 30-second check-in on how their last month was and how they're feeling about tonight's meeting.
Learning
Each month you will learn a different practical lesson about public speaking for beginners and those who want to expand their skills.
Preparation
A topic of the month is provided to attendees on arrival. You will now prepare your own 2-minute speech on it.
Delivery
Once everyone is prepared, you will deliver your 2-minute speech to the group to get feedback to help you grow your skills.

Need to know a little more about our club? Here's our most common questions answered!
Not at all. It's completely up to you if you want to try out your skills on the night. There is no pressure or expectation and you can simply say, "I pass" if you're asked to speak and you don't feel comfortable. There is no judgment if you do choose to pass and no one will force the issue with you.
While our facilitator has all the relevant clearances for working with children, these meetings are designed for adults. However, teens over 13 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
While the venue is on Level 1 of the Paspalis building, it is accessible via lift and toilets are also provided for those with accessibility requirements.
The best results come from consistency. However, you are very welcome to attend whenever you are able once you are a member.
I consent to receiving communications from Speakstarter about this enquiry and occasional communications from our Public Speaking Club.
